The main thing for our auction was to contact people to ask whether they could donate prints for our auction. We all had a role in this, but the writing team drafted an email for us to send - an international email draft, UK-based email draft, an invitation letter and a press release form.
They were all professional and featured our logo and the Plymouth College of Art logo.
Many people were contacted and we created a spreadsheet so each of use could write down who we contacted so nobody could be contacted twice, this was to keep the event more professional and to not annoy the artists we contact by sending multiple emails with the same text.
We were able to gain a good amount of prints and books for our auction.
Unfortunately, those who I had contacted were unable to send prints for understandable reasons.
