Due to the current crisis of Covid19, my project known as -FOUR- has temporarily been put on hold and my new project -PHOBOS- has been created to take its place. The projects are similar in some ways, but I like to think the previous project has simply developed into something better, something more breathtaking and more well presented than the previous project.
Phobos, Ancient Greek: Φόβος, meaning phobia.
This project is inspired by phobias, each image created will be named after a phobia and the image will also represent the fear.
The images will be designed to make the viewer feel uneasy, perhaps even experience a small feeling of the phobia.
Some images may represent phobias that are seen as irrational, others will be more common. I will be creating these images to make the viewer feel uneasy, because whether the phobia is seen to be irrational or silly to one person, it can be the biggest fear for someone else.
A phobia is a phobia. Everyone just experiences their own phobia in different ways.
This project is inspired by the works of Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick and various other films and short films. The lighting, camera angles, and uncertainty of the films are mesmerising, they revolutionised film and the horror world.
